![]() If you want to stay cheap, look for a turbocharged engine from a 87-88 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe or a late 80's Merkur XR4-Ti. The intercooled engines developed more power than their non-intercooled predecessors from the early/mid 80s. That will start you off with a base engine that is designed to handle the additional power. The stock '93 2.3 isn't nearly as strong.
Getting 250hp out of a turbo 2.3L won't be a problem. |
