Default Re: ***Need help***What to look for when buying a 1965 Fastback?

mustangII460, hit most of the rust areas. The Cowl is very important. Very, Very expensive to repair.

Bottom of front fenders, below the emblems. Left lower corner of doors. Forward of the rear wheels on the 1/4's.

Also, the inner rear wheel houses rust out, plus the torque boxes.

Really, everything metal rusts on our beloved old Mustangs.

The transmission going into reverse slow. If it is full of fluid, the seals are starting to dry out. Means it will need an overhaul soon.

Why don't you hire someone to inspect the car before you buy it. Get someone that knows Mustangs. They aren't hard to find. Check with a Mustang Club if you have trouble finding someone.

Good Luck
