If you can post your PCM code, I'll take a look at the file. However, Ford generally doesn't have gear-specific limiters for the manual transmission cars. My first suspicion would be something mechanical like plug gap, bad wires, etc. are causing the miss in first gear. BTW, there is no skip-shift for the Fords.
