DARN Service Engine Light....
Today I was at one of those coin op car washes and as I drove through the drier my foot slipped off clutch and car stalled. When I turned it back on I noticed the darn "service engine soon" light is on.
I see people on here speaking of the "codes" - how do I find out what the code is for my problem? Do I have to go to a shop and fork over $100 just for them to tell me what the problem is then another $300 ish to fix it???? Will an exhaust leak cause this light to go on? A dirty fuel/oil filter? As you can "see" I am not very savvy when it comes to cars. I would appreciate any help anyone can offer. Thank you. |
