Default 86' GT 5.0L HO - Wet Or Dry NOS kit ???

Hey guys, i have a 86' GT 5.0L 125,000 highway miles, it passed a strict smog test the motor has great compression in all cyclinders, my question is i heard that my 86' has forged or ( nos ready) pistons in it factory and have been told that my motor with as good as shape as it is in every mustang guy i talk to tells me it will handle a 50-100 NOS HP shot reliably ...... is this true ??? and what is more SAFE a WET kit or DRY kit ??
***Oh yeah, and its a NON mass air setup***
