Default Re: Idle stuck on 2000 RPMS

I racked my brains out on this one. I asked the same question several months ago on this forum, most reply's were steering towards the TPI but try as I may I could not get the car to respond. I finally went to a local mechanic I trust, he has all the Snap On equipment and the knowledge to use it and told me it is the CPU, that's right the cars computer.
I found a site online goecm.com and called them, the guy was very helpful and knowledgeable.
p.s. you might want a local mechanic to check yours out and verify this, my car is still laid up as I have not ordered the CPU thanks to the present economy.
