Default IS A 78 MUSTANG STILL A 78 WITH ALL UP DATEDNEW PARTS???

WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY IFYOU PUT AN UPDATED
MOTOR AND TRANS IN A EARLIER MODEL CAR.WHAT IS THE CAR CONSIDERD????.INTERIOR,GAUGES AND SO ON.THE ONLYTHING STOCK IS THE SHELL OFTHE CAR.I DON'T THINK MY COBRA IS A LOST PONY IF I UP DATED IT AND I CAN RUN AND KEEP UP WITH THE BIG DOGS.WHAT DO YOU THINK????
