![]() It is a easy swap to a AOD.
http://www.windsor-fox.com for the cross member and yoke and what ever else you need. Always remember to re-balance the AOD flex plate to 28.2 oz<thats what older motors need) The AOD plate is 50. oz's. Your motor will vibrate very bad and the rear bearings will fail if you dont. The best AOD's are 89-93's. These years have all of the revisions making them better than the others. I just picked up a 92 AOD w/converter and shifter etc, for $200.00, of course used. I usually pick up a core for about $150.00-250.00 from the yard. A couple of hundred dollars later and its new again. $600.00 is steep for a used trans, unless it has been rebuilt recently with performance parts. Get the converter with it !! Hope this helps any. ![]() |
