![]() Hey guys... this isn't about the stang but maybe one of you has some ideas. It's about my Taurus (V6). Very often I'll be driving and all of a sudden burning oil smoke will blow through the vents. It is so thick that sometimes I can't see (literally), the smell blows, and cleaning the inside of the windows every 4 days is downright annoying. It usually last about 15 seconds then goes completely away. I am 100% sure it's burning oil and not coolant. I know the car has a pretty bad front main leak. The million dollar question is how does it get into the vents. The only way I can possibly see it getting into the vents is if there is a hole in the underbody and the venting system. This seems highly unlikely. I haven't looked yet to see if there is anywhere the smoke could be getting into the vents. Any ideas... this is a rather bizarre problem. Thanks.
