Post Ram air hood?

What do some of you think of Ram-Air hoods?
I was thinking about the hood that has the same scoop as regular Stang w/ one scoop, not the two all the way in the front.
Do they really help in giveing hp?

The only reason I ask, might sound dumb, but what if it is raining outside?
Is there a switch or something to keep the air/water from getting into your engine?
