Get hardened exhaust valve seats, the intake should be okay, unless the metal is SUPER soft, the A/F mix will keep the intake side reasonably cool minimizing valve ressesion. I had a set of brand X 461 castings worked on and had hardened exhasut valve seats pressed in, the motor has been run hot several times and so far no problem
