The Boss 429 was a beast to be sure, but the Mach 1 428 would out accelerate the Boss 429. So would the Boss 351. The front end weight bias made it nearly impossible to launch a stock Boss 429.
As far as 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, the new Cobra has been tested (again, according to mags) quicker than any full production Mustang in history. That includes the Mach 1, the Boss 429, the Shelby GT500, etc. |
