rbatson - Excellent points. I am still learning about all the history and angles of this conflict. I did not realize the extent of our assistance at that time.
After hearing some of the responses from the Taliban this morning (9/21/2001), I really don't think they understand the magnitude of the retaliation. And I don't mean mass bombings, but the entire operation that is beginning to take shape as we speak. As someone said above, the Taliban and all those that support terrorism are in for a world of hurt. The USA is poised to open up one big can of whoomp a$$ on these cowardly bastards. E |
