			 First, go to http://www.angelfire.com/ga2/winsoredlx/351Wswap.html

and http://www.alternativeauto.com/catalog/index.html actually go to their "waterbox archives" for a part by part list, although they use a crate engine. You can get an alt brkt from a etq light truck, or try http://www.FORDPARTSNETWORK.COM/ . For good prices on gen Ford stuff, go to http://www.oemfordparts.com/lineindex.asp?LineID=1 (oops, switch those last 2) for efi swap, you can use a junkyard efi harness, or check out www.painlesswiring.com, www.ronmorrisperformance.com and www.windsor-fox.com, though their kits are a little pricey. If you're going AOD, you're better off with an electric one, especially a 4R70W later model V6 because they have most of the expensive good parts in them like the better geartrain, mechanical diode 1 way clutch, etc etc. For a very good stand alone electric controller, check out the archives on that alternative auto site. send me your email if you'd like specifics on a very good electric AOD build using mostly late model stock stuff (basically a good used one with just a couple minor tweaks) macx@eoni.com |
