This happened to me about a month ago. My internal regulator in my 140amp alternator went out and fried my headlights. Pull the bulbs out and see if both filliments are there. If one of the two is blown, then replace them. I thought that is was weird that both of them would go at the very same time but I found out what caused it though. You might want to check your alt just to play it safe.
