Most say that the '64 GTO's initiated the muscle cars. To me, the 352 '60 hipo Ford galaxys, 348 Tri-power '58 impalas, 383 Plymouths and all that followed were really the original muscle cars.
Of course these were all full sized cars, but I just loved seeing them smoke those skinny, bias ply tires. Rev
