Just a plug for Keith Craft. I've done business with them a couple of times, and they are always nice and willing to help out. Talk to Keith or Jason Craft. They put out a top quality product. FYI Be sure to check all your valve seals before you put the heads on. As a quirk, some of the seals on my heads were a size too big. I talked with Keith about this, and he says he doesn't know what happened and was willing to make it up for me. I'd recommend replacing the rubber umbrella seals with the garter springed design anyway.

As far as casting flash, basically, it's the imperfection left after casting the iron heads. Where as aluminum heads are usually CNC'd, the iron heads from WP, as well as those used in factory applications from Ford, are left as is. The runners are not perfectly smooth, but rather, they are bumpy. Not too big of a deal, and the World Products castings are cleaner than the stock heads, but you can get a few more cfm if you polish 'em up. That is a LOT of work, however.
