![]() Instant boost is good, unless you drive your car everyday on the street. It's already hard enough to get traction on the street, let alone with 7-8psi of boost.
Also, the root's type blowers are supsosedly less efficient than centrifugal blowers. They take more hp from the motor to turn than do the others.
