![]() 6#s will not hurt it. Mine is running on a 302 with 120,000 miles on it. The problem that sullied powerdyne's name was a rash of internal belt failures. The idler pulley inside would seize up and chew the belt in half. The new blowers have a tighter belt and the idler pulley removed. Powerdyne also lightened the internal components so the belt would not have to be as tight. My belt recently broke and I changed it for the first time. I removed the idler pulley and installed the new belt. It was pretty simple and it took me 4 hrs. If you want a quiet simple street blower, get a powerdyne. If you want clutch dumping wheel standing launches, get a Vortech or any gear driven blower.
