![]() Thanks for the kind words. We had a very busy practice session, sending the car out 6 times for fine tuning, but I'm happy with it now. This week is being spent applying sponsor decals and so forth. The only real problem we encountered was when Jim (owner/driver) discovered he left the keys to the trailer at home in Moorpark, 45 minutes away. After borrowing a drill, we solved that problem.
srv1- We have everything set up so that the engine runs consistantly between 180 and 190 degrees. There is no fan, but the waterpump, which is driven straight off the front of the crank, and the radiator are plumbed straight into the block and intake manifold, so the water circulates well. Where most engines have freeze plugs in the sides of the block, we have a/n fittings, which have hoses directly attached to them. The only time we run into any trouble is if there are several caution flags, which keep us doing slow laps. Once up to speed, cooling isn't a problem. Take care, -Chris
