![]() Same exact thing happened to me! Just check out my avatar image. When I read your post I thought it was the exact one I had written! Buying a new hood is probrably best if its really bad. Some people told me it would be over 1000 dollars to fix and repaint the damaged area. The you can buy a new plastic cowl vent for about 70 buck on line. The cowl metal part does not come off. The darn thing is welded on. Sorry this happened to you! I feel your pain. The worst part about it is the way you feel when you realize you left the hood unlatched.
