Can it technically do it? Yes. You've got enough hp to pull it no problems.

Here are the problems you will have though.
[list=1][*]Lack of structural integrity (the Mustang had an optional towing package from Ford, rated for 1000 lbs max.) Your car was never meant to do heavy hauling, and it's unibody shows it.[*]Brakes, or lack thereof. Your car was never meant to brake for itself (shitty braking system on a sports car) let alone another vehicle!![*]Mounting of the towbar, where can you actually put the dumb thing?[*]Police: If they see you pulling that stunt you can bet they'll have tickets all over your *** , man.[/list=a]

My advice? Rent a car trailer, and have a buddy with a truck (or rent that too) help you go to get it.

Otherwise, is the '69 street legal? Get a ride with a buddy down there, and drive it where you are going.
