![]() Back when I was in college I worked for my uncle's company as a belt vulcanizer, basically I went into coal mines and repaired or "spliced" conveyor belts together. We use toluene, as well as tri-chlorethaline to clean the rubber and plies of the belt. It is some NASTY stuff that burns like heck if you get it on your hands. We have it in 55 gallon drums!!! I've never heard of using it in cars though... but now you have me thinking!!!
