A caution for all who buy Mustang parts on e-bay
There's a guy on there currently going by the alias of mustangpartsforyou. Be vary wary of dealing with him. He's been kicked off twice before, most recently with the alias of jlmustang. He also uses the alias bluescluescats, and uses all three to bid on his own auctions under the other names. If he wins, he gives himself a stellar review on both ends. You can check out the feedback on those names and see the similarities, and those are just the current aliases that I know of.
As I'm experiencing, and at least one of the other people who have fraud charges against him under his assorted aliases, he describes merchandise as one thing then sends something different - that's usually damaged. Then he claims he has no refund policy and the part was perfect when he sent it. If you're interested, I can give you the whole sorry (and somewhat entertaining) story of my experience -- it's still going on. Most likely, he?s going to get kicked off again. If in the future you win an auction and the seller asks you to send a PayPal payment to jlmustang, think about it before you go through with it. I'm not posting this as a condemnation because I had a bad experience, but the guy has a history he keeps repeating. Believe me, I have a lot of choice words about him, but I'm refraining from using them. It's an FYI for the Mustang folks out there. He's been able to hide in the e-bay system and pop up again to defraud new people. If it was just me, I wouldn't post it. I gave the guy countless opportunities to follow through and he never did, coming up with some pretty outrageous excuses. In fact, he didn?t even respond to me until his mother got involved. Some people have had a good experience. You may, too. But if something goes wrong, chances are you're in for a world of annoyance and you're going to eat some cash. And things have gone wrong way too often just to be a coincidence. You just gotta consider if it?s worth the chance.
