Don't think so. You must be thinking about the 240/300 series of inlines, not the 144/170/200/250. They are 2 different animals.

Did the head you saw have a seperate intake? If so, it's not for this block, unless it is from an Australian 250 2V head. They were still cast, but the intake was aluminum. The only way to get those is to import one over from Oz. No 'Ford' based organization in this country will sell them, the make all their money on V8 stuff. Speciality places like Powerheads.com or Clifford may carry these.

The only aluminum head for the 250 is from an Australian Crossflow 250, and that won't bolt onto the US block.
