A shift kit changes the shifts points in your AOD. It will rev higher before a shift, and shift harder. If you decide to go that route, do not get the B&M kit. I would suggest that you leave the tranny alone for now. Go with the gears and the free stuff mentioned. Oh, and I have heard of people getting over 20HP from changing the stock fan to an electric.
