Getting an EEC tuner would most likely wake that car up BIG time. Most people see a 2-3 tenth gain by swapping computers. The Cobra's stock computer is the weakest of all the 5.0's. The Cobra cam isn't too bad, if you were driving an automatic car. That being said, a high LSA and low duration doesn't make for the best cam on a high po combo. Since you car comes with 1.7 roller rockers from the factory, a bump to say a Steeda #19 cam would get that Cobra really working. The Steeda #19 cam has a LSA of 115 I think, but a much more advantageous 220/226 duration at .050 lift. With a .480/.480 lift on 1.6:1 roller rockers, you're looking at a total lift of .514/.514. Within acceptable limits of the GT40 valvetrain. |
