![]() I don't mean to pick a fight with The Fireman, but by '67 the shelby cars were getting watered down. The 1965 GT-350 is THE reason that the mustang is a legend car. Ford wanted to make a sport car out of it and Lee Iacoca tossed the project to his friend Carol. Those cars basically came from nowhere to win on the world stage and changed the way we looked at muscle cars. Galaxies were fast in the 1/4, but couldn't handle. Mustangs could now do both, and still do. That's my .02
