I have the FRPP aluminum driveshaft and I have launched with Mickey Thompson 8.5" slicks for 2 seasons without the slightest problem or even noise. I usually launch at about 3500RPM dumping the clutch. Given I have no internal engine mods, but the driveshaft has given me no problems.
