That's an old-timer trick I haven't seen done on a small block Ford in years. The results were always good on carb'd engines, but I don't know about EFI engines. It makes more sense on an EFI engine, actually, because roller cams usually have the same lift for both int. and exh valves. Just make sure to check the clearance with clay first!
