Anyone see the Mountain Dew ad?
Anyone see that on TV? The one with the IROC *i think*.
The dude leaves his Dew can on a car back at a carry-out. It opens with him diving w/ his bubby at shotgun and he says he left his pop. So the guy whips around and pushes it. Meanwhile another guy comes out of the carryout and picks up the Dew can the other guy left on the car. Pop is open. The dude in the car is doing like 50 or something, hits some boxes which send the car flying. The does a twist in mid air the the guy grabs the Dew can out of the other guy's hands. The car twists back over and lands pefectly. I don't know about you, but this whole thing reminded me of the F&F end scene when Dom flipped the car, only in the TV ad, the car lands without twisting the chassis. It was cool they used a a domestic. What did you all think? Hehehehe... I'm always posting about commercials *did I spell that right* Just love seeing cars!!!! BESIDES I thought it was way better than that Supra one with E.T.

TV trick shots

I think that (a): You may have too much free time on your hands and, (b): it's great what they can do with digital imaging and computer simulations these days. It makes for interesting commercials and movies that couldn't have been made previously due to expense. Now, you can fake anything on video. Of course, this diminishes reality somewhat but no one seems to notice. Maybe life is a movie. Hmmm. |

Whoa...that's weird...I just saw this commercial about 2 minutes ago and it inspired me to come check out the boards.
It was a kick-***** commercial. It made me wish I would have put a 4-spd in my car. I think I'll wait until my C4 goes out and then I'll do the swap. But I'll keep the C4 in case I want it for a different car in the future. I just love banging gears, especially in a car with some power at hand. Autos are nice for daily drivers, but you gotta love bangin gears. Did you notice the single black mark when he takes off? One wheeled wonder! Haha. It was a black '77 Firebird T/A T-tops with a 4-spd. Nice little car. Sounded really good too. |

Wow...thanks for posting the commercial. I don't get to see any over here. That was pretty cool. I'm going to go get a dew.
