You're correct, 7up. Partick Roy does have the same disease (Tourette syndrome) as Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf. Rauf was my favorite player when he played for the Nuggets. Then he got traded to the Kings and I never heard of him again...

Tourette syndrome causes motor and vocal tics. Motor tics are the repeated movement of a muscle, for example, when Roy twitches his head "like a fighting rooster". Vocal tics can be things like sudden shouts, cursing, or making noises repeatedly.

Other symptoms go along with Tourette's. Obsessive-compulsive disorder, sudden outbursts of rage, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Althought you can have OCD and ADHD without Tourette's.
