Sure you don't mean the 99 cobra? I've never heard of street tires breaking the half shafts period. Drag radials on the 99, but I thought the 01 got a beefed up half shaft?
It's BS that you'll need a solid rear axle. Is it better for the strip, yes. You may need to upgrade the half shafts though. I see no reason to throw out one of the coolest additions onto a Mustang in 35 years so you can go down the track faster. |
