Yup,I would go for it.You'll get more torque and HP yet going with the long tubes and they will allow the motor to breathe easier.

Stay with a 1 5/8 long tube header as the 1 3/4 headers are for race/high RPM motors.Myself I have the Mac 1 5/8 long tube headers and have had no problems.
