The T5-Z is a Tremec built tranny. The real issue is what you'll be doing with the car. If you plan to run around town on street tires getting into it once in awhile then the T5-Z should be fine. OTOH, if you plan to race on Saturdays, put slicks on for extra traction, etc., then perhaps it isn't the right transmission for you. Remember the torque handling you need is both a combination of engine power and wheel resistance.
