Well, I can say from experience that the T-56 does make a little noise when you install a shifter. I had a Hurst shifter in my 93 Formula and it made a little bit of noise that was easily remedied with the volume knob on my stereo. =) I currently have a B&M Ripper (I know, I know, but it was free) and it makes a little bit of noise in my '01 GT as well, but after 9 years of aftermarket shifters, I'm used to it. Aftermarket shifters don't have the rubber isolators that factory shifters have, so it transmits some tranny noise through the handle...that's normal.

FYI, it won't void your warranty unless the dealer is really, really bad...
