It's a shift kit. What it does is make the shifts A LOT firmer. ...Great mod, especially for only $110 or so.

If I were you, I would either dump the auto, or work it over, to get the best performance. The AOD is probably the worst tranny Ford ever made, so either have it done right with a good converter, shift kit, valve body, and shifter, or put in a stick. Good luck, and again welcome. "

He's right. I chose to build up my AOD. I wanted to do a aod-t5 swap, but hey I don't really have that much experience to do that kinda thing. So I went this route. I'm going with the PI stallion converter. I'll let you know how that works out!
