				 |  Do I need This ! 95 GT, What is that rusted piece of junk hanging from the bottom of the rear end, just below and aft of the rear universal joint ? It's rubber mounted, can I remove it, what is it's function ??? Can anyone give me their 2c. |

				 |   That piece is a vibration damper for your rear axle assembly.  It is matched to your particular rear gear size.  I.E.(3.08 - 3.27) etc. I would only remove it if you change your gear ratio.   ------------------ AHD 91GT(undergoing-overhaul) |

				 |   like he said, its a vibrations damper matched to your stock rear end gear ratio. its completely useless after you change your rear gears, i took mine off. it weighs about 7lbs, not a big difference, but the little things add up, as we all know. ------------------ 1990lx coupe, 302, gt40p heads, wolv 1087 cam, 1.7rr's, 65mm tb, 75mm maf, comp box on top of cobra lower, anderson ford pms, full exhaust, drag type susp. and 3.55's. traps 105mph |
