Set your DMM to ohms, and measure the resistance across the two primary terminals (the little spade connectors that the harness plugs into). It should be between .03 ~ 1.0 ohms.

You can also measure the resistance between the pos. primary terminal (may have a "+" next to it) and the secondary terminal (the post the coil wire attaches to). It should be between 8000 and 11,500 ohms.
