My '90 LX didn't have a rear anti-roll bar (it's a 4cyl). Ford Garage told me that they were available in a proformance suspension package only. The 4cyl's (probably 6cyl too) were not built as a proformance car and for a smoother ride the rear bar was not standard.

Bushings... The front lower control arm bushings are the only change I know of. At some point they change from round to oval or oval to round. This could also be a proformance suspension thing (my 4cyl has oval), possibly for a "better" ride.
