![]() A performance clutch is just that because disk friction material is tougher, and the pressure plate springs are stronger. The result is a tighter gripping force is applied to the clutch disc when the pedal is released. However, this also means that it will take more pressure on the pedal to get the pressure plate to release. In other words, a stiffer clutch pedal is what you'll notice, not shorter pedal travel.
Besides, I believe the Probe has a hydraulic clutch, which is much smoother and easier to drive. ![]() Take care, ~Chris
