Most of it is held on there with double sided stickey tape.
The little pieces behind the doors, I can't remember if it's the ones in front of or behind the rear wheels or both, are held on by bolts. You have to tear out the interior to get at them. And the bits on the front and rear bumpers are molded right into the bumper cover. I think there is paint underneath If you are thinking of taking it off for a different look I wouldn't bother, you won't be happy with it and cause you can't take it off the bumpers it won't look right.
