![]() The casting numbers on the right side of the block above the starter are D7T3A38 I don't think it's a 351C engine my guess is a 351M or 400M I do know it's not a W because the timing gear housing is cast to the block. The trouble I was having was finding a flywheel to fit the one I was given for it. It is from a 300 six cylinder and I don't think the balance is right on it but the bellhousing puts the stock starter too far away from the teeth in the flywheel the spin the engine. The bellhousing is supposed to be for a 400M but what year I don't know. the engine was out of the truck when I bought it and it had a bad C-6 in it. By the way the truck is a 79 F-150 4WD and it was only a $100 and is in really good shape just needs some paint and int. work so it will be worth the headace when done. thanks for the help!!
