![]() Supposedly, the A9S (1989 Mustang 5.0/5spd) and the A9T (1989 Mustang 5.0/auto) have not been able to be "cracked" yet by ECM chip programers. My understanding is that there are no chips available for them, and as of now, none can be made.
However, 3 days ago I got a new batch of updated catalogs in for my catalog rack, and one of them was from Hypertech, and they have a listing for an '89 5spd Mustang GT, so maybe it has been cracked. Then again, there were more than one code for that year and model ECM. Bottom line is this: Go ahead and buy it, but keep in mind that it may be difficult getting a chip for it in the future. Take care, ~Chris
