				 |  Please Help Me Fast, I'm beggin ya hey, so I got the off road h pipe and the magnaflow cat back this week. Decided to start putting it on tonight. I got the cat back out of there no problem and the bolts from the cat back to the H pipe weren't bad either. Here is the problem. The nuts that are connecting the h to the headers are stuck on there. I sprayed them with WD40 several times and then decided to call it a night. I soaked them one last time before I finished so hopefully that will help overnight. So, I'm heading to bed now and hopefully I will wake up with a few responses from some of you who have had the same problem. Please, any suggestions are welcome. P.S. I dont have too much time tomorrow and I really don't want to wait until sunday night to finish this, so please one more time.

				 |  Stuck bolts When all else fails, use heat.  A small propane torch (pencil flame) does wonders on stuck bolts.  A breaker bar may also work. |

				 |   What he said, only I am used to using an oxygen/acetylene torch. Dont know how the samll pencil torches work.

				 |   Use the torch, avoid the breaker bar. Exhaust bolts that are stuck are usually rusty, and have become weaker than they were new. They tend to break pretty easy when too much leverage is applied. Breaker bars work awesome in other places, but with exhaust bolts, you take a fairly big chance.  Take care, ~Chris

				 |   when I put on my X-pipe the the same nuts were imposible to remove. I tried a propane torch and it did not get them hot enough. I had to use a oxygen/acetylene to get them red hot and they still barley came off. You could take your car to a shop and have them crack the nuts if you still can't get them or you could get new headers and cut the bolts.

				 |   Hey guys I have a new problem. I got a small torch and I tried to get the nut off the bolt from the header. I thought I cracked it off and I ended up removingt the entire stud from the headers. Its not a big problem but I just can't find the right size bolt to put back through there. The threads are fine so that isn't the problem. I'm thinking if I can't get the right size, I will just put a smaller bolt through the hole, put a nut on the end and tighten it as much as I can and keep checking it for a few weeks. If you have any thoughts or if you know the right size bolt, please help me out. Now it is going to go on to a third day but I have to finish it tomorrow. |

				 |   Just reuse the stud with the nut on it! Think of it as a perfect fit bolt!  Take care, ~Chris

				 |   That is not an option.  The bolt has the original nut halfway up it.  So it has two nuts on it and neither of them will move so I can't get through the hole in the H-pipe.

				 |   The only place I could find the collector studs was from Ford.   $3.89 each. Next time you might try pure wintergreen oil. It works wonders, but you have to let it soak. My 2nd favorite for rusted bolts is the ZEP penetrating oil. |
