Default I thought it was one tooth off because

when I tried to rotate the distributer to retard the timing I would run into the fuel lines/ injectors. I thought if I set the distributer one tooth over, I would have the full range of rotation to set the timing to 10* When I set the distributer in the first time I turned the distributer as far to the right (counter clockwise) as I could and the timing was still off. Thanks again for your guys advice, Keith.
