Default V-8

If you want a V-8, get one to begin with so you start with a V-8 suspension, steering, trans, rear axle, and wheels. For a really good coupe or sports roof, 302, 4-speed or automatic with AC, ps, disk brakes etc, I would expect $8000-10,000. That's not a show car or a 428 CJ or or anything special or rare. Just a really good driver without matching #'s.

Note: check carefully for rust (existing or repaired), especially in the cowl and floor pans. That's a really expensive thing to fix correctly.
