![]() You are toast. While I own a 347 stang, I also own a 68 Charger R/T. I will quoate from the Carrol Shelby Speed Secrets book:
15 Second Bracket - If the car goes this slow, something is wrong. Check the weight - should be less than 4000lbs. Check axle ratio and ignition 14 Second Bracket - This repreents a stock 440-4 GTX, R/T 13 Second Bracket - This is representative of the production 440-6 bbl cars. 12 Second Bracket - Slightly bigger cam, elec fuel pump, bracket valve job 11 Second Bracket - Aftermarket heads, high comp pistons, mech cam All these are with some chassis mods, but if hes runnin DRs and has motor work done I'm sure he has that covered. Also keep in mind that he can spool that motor up and use ALL the orque on launch where as most of us have to dance on the pedals to launch without spinnin. Good Luck
