I could only wish that I had the cash to buy a a4 or a r302 it must be nice. Here is what I found in my FMS catalog.
The r302 is a wet sump roller block with no water jackets between the cilinder bore. It uses the same cam bearings, and main bearings that a normal 5.0 block could. I'm guessing all is the same for the a4 except it has water jackets unlike the r302.
