				 | suggestions on crank dampner purchase Hey everyone, I was undeer my car this weekend replacing my rack bushings and noticed the black (rubber?) or lack ther of on my crank dampner. I am sure I need a new one, the only question is what kind. This is a daily driver and will never be anything but, I am planning minor things, but nothing greater then probably 350 hp. I am not rich or cheap, I am loooking for quality not cost. My qustion is open ended, if you need more info just ask, other than that thank you for the advice. John

				 | you could get a factory replacement from the auto parts store, but in time the elastomer (rubber ring) will wear out again. You could also spend twice the cash for an aftermarket one that would probably last much longer. Fluidyne makes street versions called "Streetdamper" that aren't too expensive and are one solid sealed piece with no rubber to dry and crack.

				 | I have the Summit damper. You can change the weight around on it, SFI spec, and it's cheap.

				 | I would recommend a Fluidampr (what I've got on my 331), but since you're mostly stock and just using it as a daily driver I guess the Summit one sounds like a good deal, or the Ford unit. E

				 | I wouldn't go with anything else but the fluiddamper. racecar, streetcar, or other wise, that's what I run on my 347. |

				 | Decision time Hey all, I decided to go with the FMS dampner from a local speed shop for $75. I am planning on a stroker in about a year or so. I will look at a Fluiddampner at that time. Thanks for all the great input. John
